On International Women's Day of Prayer, the Methodist Church in Fiji (MCIF) acknowledges and celebrates the invaluable role of women in our Church, families, and communities.
The MCIF deeply values the importance of women in our society and within the life of the Church. Women continue to be a beacon of love, compassion, passion, commitment, and sacrifice — qualities from which we have learned, and which we cherish across generations.
We also recognize and appreciate the women who have faithfully contributed to the leadership and decision making of the Church and society. Since 1981, women have been part of the Annual Conference of the MCIF, demonstrating the Church's commitment to inclusive participation and shared responsibility in shaping our mission and ministry.
Through the Department of Women within the Ministry of the MCIF, the Church continues to nurture, empower, and support women in their spiritual growth and service. The promotion of women in leadership across Church divisions remains an important commitment, affirming the gifts, wisdom, and calling that women bring to the work of God.
On this important day, we give thanks to God for the women who faithfully serve in our homes, congregations, institutions, and communities.
