Dear Readers,
It is my privilege to welcome you to The Methodist, the official bi-monthly online newsletter of the Methodist Church in Fiji. This platform has been established to strengthen communication across our Connexion and to share the many ways in which God is at work within our Church, both locally and abroad.
As Secretary for Communications and Overseas Missions, I see this newsletter as more than just a source of information. It is a space for connection, reflection, and encouragement. Through these pages, we aim to capture the life of the Church — its ministries, milestones, challenges, and achievements — while also highlighting the faith and commitment of our people.
This newsletter will also serve as a bridge — connecting our members across Fiji and linking our local Church with our ministers and partners in overseas mission fields. It is our hope that through sharing these stories, we will inspire greater unity, deepen our sense of belonging, and encourage active participation in the mission of the Church.
I invite all divisions, circuits, and institutions to contribute to this newsletter by sharing your updates, testimonies, and reflections. Your stories are important, and they form part of the larger narrative of who we are as a people of faith.
